A national operator rebuilds its marketing stack

A fixed-price Adobe Experience Cloud transformation for one of Indonesia's largest mobile operators, replacing a fragmented campaign estate with a single real-time customer data foundation serving multiple consumer brands.

The challenge

A campaign stack that could not keep up

Customer data sat across separate systems per brand, with no shared profile and no way to react to behaviour in the moment. Campaign delivery depended on overnight batch cycles.

Two brands, one platform

The programme had to serve distinct consumer brands with separate offers and tone, without duplicating the underlying data model or doubling operational cost.

Scale as a hard requirement

Any design had to hold at a subscriber base at national scale, with peak service volumes measured in thousands of transactions per second.

The approach

How we delivered it.

01

Unified data foundation

Schema design, identity resolution and consent modelling on Adobe Experience Platform, establishing one profile per subscriber across brands and channels.

02

Real-time journey orchestration

Trigger-based journeys spanning app, SMS, USSD and partner surfaces, replacing batch campaign sends with reaction in the moment.

03

Offer decisioning

Ranked, eligibility-governed offers delivered through decisioning APIs so every channel renders a consistent, personalized recommendation.

04

Analytics and measurement

Cross-channel journey analytics with reporting built for the operating teams who run the programme day to day.

Outcome

What changed.

Nation-scaleSubscriber bases unified
Multi-brandDelivered across brands
Real timeReplacing overnight batch cycles

The platform now runs as the operator's primary engagement layer, with Aventis providing continuing architecture and always-on operations.

Telecommunications · Offer decisioning

From segment pricing to a price per customer

Prezio, our dynamic pricing engine, deployed against a live offer catalog to replace broad segment pricing with an individually decided offer and price for every customer on every channel.

The challenge

Segment averages left value on the table

Pricing was set for a few dozen segments. Customers willing to pay more were discounted, and price-sensitive customers never received the nudge that would have converted them.

Offers competing with each other

A large catalog with no shared ranking meant campaigns cannibalised one another, and the same customer saw inconsistent offers across app, messaging and partner channels.

Commercial risk

Any move to personalized pricing had to guarantee margin floors, eligibility and fairness rules were never breached, with a defensible audit trail.

The approach

How we delivered it.

01

Shared scoring model

A single ranking formula blending propensity to convert with commercial value, applied consistently across every channel and container.

02

Decision policies with hard guardrails

Selection strategies choose one winner per customer and channel, with margin, eligibility and frequency rules enforced as constraints rather than filters applied afterwards.

03

Batch and real-time paths

Nightly decisioning covers the entire active base, with a real-time path through decisioning APIs for moments that cannot wait for the next run.

04

Holdout measurement

Deterministic control groups built into the design, so incremental revenue is measured against a stable baseline rather than estimated.

Outcome

What changed.

N=1Decisioning across the full base
100%Guardrail compliance on every decision
ProvableHoldout-based uplift measurement

Pricing decisions are now made per customer rather than per segment, with commercial governance intact and value measured rather than claimed.

Telecommunications · Philippines

Taking over a live experience platform

A structured takeover of an in-flight marketing platform for a Philippine telecom group, moving from incumbent handover to full Aventis ownership of operations, releases and optimization within a single quarter.

The challenge

An in-flight platform, mid-programme

The platform was already live and business-critical. There was no window in which campaigns could stop while a new partner learned the estate.

Knowledge held by the outgoing partner

Architecture decisions, integration quirks and operational runbooks sat largely with the incumbent team, much of it undocumented.

Continuity expectations

The client expected no degradation in campaign delivery or incident response during or after the transition.

The approach

How we delivered it.

01

Structured handover

A defined transition plan with shadowing, documentation capture and a firm ownership date rather than an open-ended overlap.

02

Operational readiness

Runbooks, monitoring and escalation paths rebuilt to our own standard, so response did not depend on individual memory.

03

Shared delivery model

A team structure spanning multiple client engagements, giving depth of cover without carrying the cost of a fully dedicated bench.

04

Optimization from day one

Beyond keeping the platform running, a standing backlog of performance and data quality improvements from the first month of ownership.

Outcome

What changed.

1 quarterFrom handover to full ownership
24×7Follow-the-sun operations
No gapContinuity through transition

Aventis now owns the platform end to end, running operations while continuing to extend the use case roadmap.
